True. A season dedicated to just princess Twilight would probably be boring as hell. But that will never happen. Twilight's friends will always be there for her and do their things.

Although, I am anxious to see what kind of story they will come up with for alicorns, the least mentioned race in the show. It would be nice if a bit more of their origins was revealed.

I'm 99% sure that the first 2 - 3 episodes of Season 4 will be about Twilight. Anything after that is a toss up.

Also maybe some Rarity Episodes.

Yeah, the first few episodes are gonna be around Twilight, but after that it's up in the air. Honestly I'm hoping for more Rarity, Applejack, and CMC episodes. Even though Rarity isn't my favorite pony, I think I like her episodes the best on average just because I love seeing her reactions; Sisterhooves Social was fantastic.

Well, they are off different age and, of course, different species. But otherwise, they would the most adoring couple ever. I'd love to see an episode of the two of them going on an actual date.

The only thing about the Spike and Rarity stuff is that, while we may not know their true ages, Rarity is seen to be an independent adult while Spike is shown to generally be a minor in Twilight's custody. The unrequited crush thing is perfectly fine (hell, we see underaged guys with crushes on older women all the time in shows/movies/books), but anything mutual has the potential to make Rarity look like a cradle robber, to put it nicely.

What you say is true. But once Spike reaches his adult age(whatever that may be in dragon-years), then a relationship between those two would be more legit. Of course, Rarity will still be older than him, but I see no problem for those two being together.

I don't think there was ever anything to indicate the specific ages of any characters in MLP.

I still think Spike and Rarity would make a terrible couple. Spike is more for physical activity and tends to forgo the fine details. Rarity is on the opposite end of the spectrum, reserving time for finer works and is extremely meticulous. Spike would be a better match for someone more rough.

I was under the impression that he could not grow without the aid of "Dragon Greed".

Idk, I always imagined Spike as younger than the Mane Six, but older than the CMC.

Well he hatched while Twilight was still a kid, at max maybe between 12 - 14. I feel like Spike should have quite a few years on him.

Twilight was entering magic kindergarten when she hatched Spike, and people enter kindergarten around the age of five to six. However, this was clearly an advanced school that Twilight was entering, and she could already read proficiently, so we may assume that she could have been seven. Given the fact that she shows many traits of a grad student (studying in the field) and given her natural mannerisms, she can be placed anywhere from 19 to 23 years old. Doing the math, Spike would be anywhere between 13 and 18 years old. The main fact is that dragons likely mature at a slower pace due to their longer life spans. The age of 13 to 18 may be a teenager in human or pony years (since ponies seem to age relative to us) but in dragons this could still be an infant stage.

I am most impressed. The story plots seems to improve for every season. And its about Pinkie Pie, so that is a plus itself.
