Has FiM ever made you teary-eyed?
Post: #1
Has any of the episodes put a knot in your throat, made you teary-eyed, or actually made you cry? If so, which ones? Mlp-rsad

There's a few episodes that have made me teary-eyed:
  • Family Appreciation Day: After Granny Smith finishes her story and Applebloom realizes she's a badass granny.
  • May The Best Pet Win!: When Rainbow Dash exclaims that the rule was the winner of the pet race had to cross the line WITH her. Mlp-prainbow
  • Sonic Rainboom: When Rainbow Dash saves Rarity and the Wonderbolts and creates a Sonic Rainboom (I watched this scene again today and it still has the same effect)

Those are the ones I can remember, what about you bronies?

There's a similar thread about shows that have made you cry, but it wasn't pony centric, so if you want to share those you can do it here: link.

Twilight's heart breaking and renewal in Return of Harmony part 2.

End of the Granny Smith story from sheer amazement at how beautiful a story it was.

Secret of My Excess. The part where Spike is about to tell Rarity he has a crush on her.

Both common intepretations of that scene (1: Rarity also likes Spike, and 2: Rarity is aware of Spike's crush, but doesn't share his feelings, the tears being the result of her knowledge that Spike's feelings will reman unrequited) make me a bit teary-eyed.

Good one, and in that same episode when Sweetie Belle realizes it's been Rarity the entire race was also pretty sentimental.

I am generally immovable, but the scene in Sisterhooves Social when Rarity finds Sweetie Belle's drawing almost made me have to actually try in order not to cry.

In answer to your question, know (no).

Please. PLEASE! No one else say this now that it's already been said once in this thread.

Quote:Manly tears were shed

The saddest thing of this fandom I've seen is this PMV featuring the song Cosmic Love. Though the lyrics are metaphorical in the song, applied to Luna and her decent into madness, they can be taken quite literally.

Pretty much the first half of the first season. When Twilight began to trust her new friends, and pretty much all of the friendship reports.

I only got teary-eyes because I wished I could relate.

In fact, there's an abundance of those...plenty of which are already mentioned as I post this.

Like most everyone here, Return of Friendship Pt II made me teary eyed, but not when Twilight's spirit was broken. It was when she opened all those letters to Celestia, re-reading all she had learned about friendship. That's where I lost it.

I am honestly curious as to what human flesh tastes like.

I think Rarity already knew. Reason being that she'd have to be a dumbshit to have not noticed, and Rarity isn't a dumbshit. I think she was teary-eyed mostly because she thought it was sweet rather than because she had any feelings for Spike. Remember, spike is maybe nine or ten at the oldest, and Rarity is... well... not. It's a classic case of a little boy having a crush on a grown woman. It would be weird if she returned any of his affections in that way. I think she just stopped him because she was sort of letting him know that she knew, and he didn't have to embarrass himself right before they both were probably about to die.

That moment did get me a little.

As for other moments that have made me tear up?

Definitely Twilight Rereading her old letters in "Return of Harmony." I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you told me there was only one moment in this show I could save for posterity, that would be the one.

I also get a little choked up at how terrified the mane 6 are of Twilight being sent back to Canterlot in "Lesson Zero."

I guess there are a lot of moments, really. Kind of silly to get choked up over "My Little Pony," I guess, but why not?

Ah, who am I kiddin'? When I'm watching a show or a movie or play, I'm a junkie for emotion. I let everything get to me just for the joy of feeling.

I'm weird, but I've never felt weird. -- John Frusciante

I'll be quite honest, this upset me more than any other scene in MLP so far.

Same with me. I really wish I could cry at certain points in shows/movies, but unless I grow really close to a character that dies in a really sad way or leading up to their death (like in death note where they almost completely changed the atmosphere for a certain person) .

Those are the ones I can remember, what about you bronies?

There's a similar thread about shows that have made you cry, but it wasn't pony centric, so if you want to share those you can do it here: link.

No joke, that was the same video that made me become a brony. I was all " this show looks very interesting, but that chick with the butterfly wings(rarity) wings looks like an overly glamorous bitch" but Somepony went through enough effort to make that
video ( Not much because it took me 5 seconds to make a Guille's theme video) so I thought I might check it out, look at me now.

I can't re-call any incidents really when that happened to me. The only thing that made me shred manly tears was when I got to the ending of Cup- Let's not start a wave of references again >_>

And I felt very sad when Rainbow Dash got herself stuck at that rock and tortoise saved her.
